This video shows the basic appliances and utensils needed to start a kitchen suited for Indian style of cooking.Today many youngsters are starting out on their own many times far away from home, this video should help them decide what basic utensils are required. I have included both a gas stove and induction cooker , you can buy any one depending on your choice. You can also include a chopping board in your list, which i have not shown. It is hoped that this will be a helpful guide for newly married young people to set up their home.

@Gita’s Kitchen: Could you please comment on the use of non-stick vs. not non-stick cookware? Do you use a non-stick tawa for making dosa? If not, what tawa do you use? Please also comment on its compatibility with induction cooktop. Many thanks.

Thanks for your very practical and easy to follow videos. On Amazon there is a coconut breaking round tray which has a cutting tool in the centre and water collects hygenically in the deep tray – do you know if it works well. Thank you

I liked the whole video and i fully agree with u madam, but that coconut scraper gets spoilt easily. It doesnt easily stick on granite or marble as they claim and after 1 or 2 uses it becomes a waste.
