Whether you’re in the festive mood or not, considering all things Covid, I find that decorating for the holidays always helps to elevate the vibe of the space and instantly lift your spirits. There’s no need to do a whole lot, just a few simple moves can bring great holiday cheer to your corner of the world. Whether your style is simple, minimal, Scandinavian, rustic, neutral, colorful, bold, glam, or maximalist Winter Wonderland vibes, this video has you covered.

I’ll be breaking down the details of each type of holiday style to show you key elements you should look out for when decorating. Think of creative ways to repurpose what you already have from holidays past, that way when you shop this year, it will simply be for key pieces to fill in and finish the look.

I told my friend she should get one for this year so she can do her snowmen on one side and angels on the other. Thank you for sharing with us! Merry Christmas!

  23. Sam Rose on December 4, 2020 at 10:20 pm

Love these inspirations!! My problem is I love my space, but I feel like it is a bit too monochromatic, but at the same time a tad all over the place. I feel like there is something missing to really tie everything together and give it that next level feel. 🤔

  24. Caress Morell on December 4, 2020 at 10:20 pm

  35. Petra Vyoralová on December 4, 2020 at 10:37 pm

I’d love to be the maximalist, the only thing that scares me away from that idea is the amount of stuff I’d have to store when the season is over 😀 My storage capacity is not that big and I need it for other things than Christmas, too 😀

  36. Paula Lewis on December 4, 2020 at 10:38 pm

Hi Julie, I was wondering if you have any tips for Asian houses that display deceased photos?

  43. Mercedes Young on December 4, 2020 at 10:43 pm

Great tip on decorating the tree half and half. Did you put the tree on a rotation base?

  44. Cath I on December 4, 2020 at 10:44 pm

Double sided tree is super clever! Means you don’t need as many ornaments of a particular theme!

  45. Jme Ersungur on December 4, 2020 at 10:46 pm

I am so inspired by this video! I loved the break down in styles and showing tons of inspiration images. I appreciate the little not in the upper right hand corner showing where the images were from. A rotating tree!! What!! Yes, that is exactly what we need in our home. Great find. My daughter wants glam maximalist winter wonderland and I on the other hand love the minimalist vibe. Another great video. Thank you!

  46. Anna Neufeld on December 4, 2020 at 10:47 pm

I love the two sided tree

  50. Cuncun 92 on December 4, 2020 at 10:52 pm

Hi Julie. I adore your knowledgeable videos. I would like to ask you a question.I love lots of decor materials /style/ colors ; however as an Asian, I found myself hesitating to use interior design because of the belief of Feng Shui. What are your thoughts on Feng shui?
