Hi, I’m about to paint over my mild sheen kitchen paint with kitchen paint, it’s Matt.

I’ve sugar soaped it to death and washed off with fresh water.

I’ve done a test patch and the new paint goes on fine and seems well bonded.

I don’t want to sand the ceiling and walls as it’s a killer job plus messy, Can you forsee issues if I don’t sand seeing as it’s Matt over soft sheen?

    Thanks.

How did you find the B&Q paint? I used it once and it didn’t cover very well, had to use at least 3 coats.

Looks great. Really surprised that people still want oil-based for the woodwork. Surely water-based is a better option as it doesn’t yellow?
