Small House Kitchen Renovation 2020

Today I knock down a wall! …and update my kitchen with modern electric, Klearvue Cabinets, Midwest Contertops and Samsung Appliances! My house is 960 sqf, built in 1982 and is a 2 bedroom 1 bath with a two car detached garage. I may not make my money back on this upgrade, but I will live better for it! The difference is night and day! I no longer feel ashamed to invite people over and welcome entertaining guests! My hope is that this video inspires someone to put their butt to work and complete a house project!

Out of the park! You are right, why wait till you want to sell a house to renovate? Enjoy!

Wow. Amazing. I have the same layout so I will do the exact same remodel.
    Thanks

Amazing job!! Did you design/measure the cabinet layout yourself also? Was there a program you used for that? Where are the cabinets from? We just purchased a home and are planning on redoing the kitchen ourselves 😳

Good job, doing a similar remodel. Knocking down a 3/4 height "L" wall and installing a 12" island with seating. Wish I was younger and had your skills…costing a lot for my dream.

Please come and do this to my kitchen. God will bless you abundantly.

Q1: How long did this project take to complete? Any details on time breakdown would be greatly appreciated.
Q2: What are the dimensions of the eating area before and after the reno?
Q3: It looks like you originally accessed the laundry from the kitchen, I take it moving the door to the hallway/living area is a big improvement?
I found an investment property that has nearly the same kitchen/breakfast nook layout as your original kitchen so I was looking on YouTube for something to get kitchen layout ideas from and you might have hit it out of the park!

    Great video!

Absolutely wonderful! I am in the middle of my first total home remodel. Tearing out the kitchen today. Hope mine turns out as good as yours! I was going to do quartz too, but lost my job so, I had to go butcher block. Floors, in the kitchen, get done tomorrow as well as the new slide-in stove. Cabinets should be here by the end of the month. Hope I can make mine awesome too!

    You did great!

  27. Evelyn Tobias on August 27, 2020 at 4:56 am

I like how clean you were when demolishing. Did I see right and you worked yourself into a corner with the floor tile? BTW I wasn’t too crazy about the floor tile you chose but everything else came out real nice. Also take those cereal boxes out and put some nice dishes instead. That looks too sloppy for all your hard work.

  28. Dan Matheny on August 27, 2020 at 5:04 am

If I may ask, where did you order the cabinets from?

  29. Melonie McDowell on August 27, 2020 at 5:06 am

You knocked it out the park. I can only imagine having a husband with your skills. We’d be renovating every few years. Love it ❤️
