Small Kitchen/Dining Room Together – New Ideas

In this video there are many design ideas for a cozy kitchen / dining room open concept. Also, you can find many ideas how to have a small dining place integrated into a kitchen.
The open space idea has become more and more popular, being adopted everywhere, houses, apartments, condominiums, etc. This is principally because the open plan concept is a modern practical way to increase the brightness, the visual space and an efficiently furniture placement. More important for a limited and compact space, this open concept is functional and practical.
Thank you so much for watching.

So you want to pretend to be the middle class Victorian hostess sitting in crinolines in the sitting room and ringing the bell for the servants? Or maybe the alternative is only if you always bring in take away. Or cook everything beforehand and microwave it to death as the guests arrive late. And never cook fish, cabbage, any fried food, any thing producing steam airborne fat etc. if you do then the whole living dining kitchen space will be filled with odours, steam, and grease ( if in doubt just check the top of your exposed fridge to see how quickly it settles and how thickly) mood all transferred in microscopic particles to your curtains furnishings carpets and guests. No extractor system that is not industrial in size ( and noise) will clear the polluted air quickly and efficiently enough without deafening noise ( earmuffs for guests.) noise from coffee grinders, fan forced ovens, dishwasher noise, . If in doubt check the air exchange requirements for commercial kitchens and workshops. Where do you put your saucepans that have been cooking the vegetables and do you stack the ones that won’t fit in the dishwasher on the sideboard, or the piano ? And if you are actually cooking, while your family or guests are “ relaxing” watching how stressed you are avoiding spilling things on the ( living dining room) floor for everyone to slip on, then surely guests will not want to interrupt you or your family will be competing for your attention regardless of the eggs burning etc. Don’t design your home by following the developer driven kitchen/living/dining room as their cost cutting way of reducing services and structure in apartments, the architects who pandered to their needs, and the magazines presenting fantasies of the relaxed housewife ( who incidentally has just returned from a hellish ride through peak hour traffic to a family wanting immediate attention etc) . Bring back the separate kitchen.
